Case Study – Rights Holder
Sunset Cinema
Since 2015

The Goal
Audit current sponsorship portfolio, sign new partners and identify new industry categories
Audit Portfolio
Start in 2015 by auditing Sunset Cinema's sponsorship portfolio, keeping the right partners and maximising a re-book of each one.
Sign New Partners
Sign new industry partners year on year, with multi-year deals to help expand the event series to new national locations.
Identify New Categories
Identify new industry categories that have not sponsored the event before.
Solution
We clarified the heart and soul of the event with an even clearer understanding of the audience segments
Clear Objectives
We identified a clearer understanding of each brand’s objectives and created some new features and brand specific social media integration opportunities to help secure a better ROI and ROO, therefore justifying a higher investment into Sunset Cinemas.
Aligned Partners
The increased content and more national footprint helped secure more aligned brand partners who further improved the event and enhanced visitor feedback.
Results
Increased investment, new partners and multi-city launches more than doubled sponsorship revenue year on year
Increased Investment
We increased the partnership investment from the likes of 4Pines Brewing, Mad Fish Wines, and IMB Bank, signing them on multi-year deals.
Go National
Melbourne successfully launched in 2016/2017. Brisbane successfully launched in 2017/2018.
New Partners
We signed new partners such as Cobs Popcorn, Bulla, Grill Mates, Presha Juice, Arnott’s, Kimberly-Clark and Popcar.
Ongoing Relationship
We achieved revenue of over $1mil in 2.5 years and continue to work with Sunset Cinemas.
First Car Brand
Peugeot signed as the first car brand for Sunset Cinemas, with Sunset Cinemas being Peugeot’s first sponsorship after leaving sport.

We continue to work with James as he can secure partners who are right for us and we for them. This makes all the difference when it comes to building long-term, mutually beneficial partner relationships.
